These Terms and Conditions apply to this website and services offered by Silicon Valley Technology, including computer and electronics repair, virus recovery, data recovery, website building and direct orders. Use this website lawfully and provide accurate contact and service information. Request work only on devices, files, accounts and websites you own or are authorized to have serviced.
Appointments, estimates and approval
Office visits are by appointment. A 15-minute drop-off booking reserves time to check in your device; it is not a promise that a repair will be finished in 15 minutes. No payment is required to reserve the appointment.
The advertised diagnostic fee is $50 and is credited toward an approved repair. Repair labor is $100 per hour. Parts, storage, specialized work and unusually long testing are quoted separately. We explain the proposed work and obtain approval before billable repair work beyond the diagnostic. Website projects and direct orders use their separately agreed scope and price.
Turnaround estimates depend on diagnosis, parts availability, testing and the condition of the device. Contact us if you need to change or cancel a visit.
Files, virus recovery and service limitations
Tell us about important files before any work. Keep a current backup when it is safe to make one. A failing drive or compromised system may already have damaged information. Recovery of every file, encrypted data or account cannot be guaranteed.
We discuss any proposed erase or operating-system reinstall before you approve it. Virus and malware cleanup cannot guarantee protection from later downloads, unsafe links, stolen credentials or new infections. A repair assessment may identify a different cause than the one initially suspected.
Device access and customer information are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Repair warranty and concerns
Our advertised repair warranty is 30 days. Contact us promptly about a problem related to completed repair work so we can review it. Any job-specific coverage or limitations should be discussed with the technician before approval. These terms do not remove consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

SMS Terms and Conditions
Silicon Valley Technology text messaging
Our service messages can include replies to your questions, appointment coordination, estimates and approval requests, repair status, pickup notices and order support. Separately opted-in promotional texts may include service news or offers.
Your choice and consent
Text messaging is optional. When you initiate a service conversation by texting our published number, you request replies about that conversation. Booking a visit, providing a number, accepting these general terms or asking a repair question does not by itself enroll you in promotional texts.
Marketing messages require a separate, clear opt-in that identifies Silicon Valley Technology and the promotional program. Consent to SMS or marketing is not required to buy a product or service. We do not use purchased consent lists.
Frequency, costs and delivery
Message frequency varies. It depends on your service request, appointment, order and any promotional program you separately choose. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. Text delivery is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt out and get help
Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages at any time. You may receive a confirmation of your opt-out. Do not expect further program texts unless you opt in again. You can continue to contact us by phone or email.
Reply HELP for help, call (408) 757-1070, or email teddy@siliconvtech.net. Do not use SMS for emergencies or send passwords, payment-card information or sensitive documents by text.
Use a number you control and let us know if your number changes. For information about mobile data, consent records and service-provider processing, read our Privacy Policy.
External services and website content
Appointment booking, marketplace listings, maps and payment services linked from this site are operated by their respective providers and have their own terms. Domain, hosting and other provider charges for website work are paid separately as agreed. We do not guarantee third-party availability, search-engine indexing or rankings.
Service information and these terms may be updated. The effective date identifies this version. Any changes to an already approved job should be agreed with the customer.
